Death Rites is an independent clothing project rooted in the gritty, underground subcultures of Sydney, Australia. Founded originally as an underground heavy metal fanzine in 1988 by Shawn Yates, who is also the esteemed founder of Australia's legendary streetwear pioneer, Supply Store, the moniker has since evolved into a highly respected graphic streetwear line.
